No, i think it is TWO pianoS :)
One with a lot of resonance that makes it sharp almost piercing and close to clipping, it may even be clipping, because there is a abnormal click inside the sound(?) Its only after 3:20 that the difference is audible

and another darker and softer, that comes in with the same phrase under the sharper one, almost bass like

Both should be possible to emulate with f.i. MDA piano.
