Disclaimer:
I have the book and can recommend it to beginners and hose who want to learn electronic music creation in a structured manner using different genres as example.
The author has very good and understandable way to build the knowledge and explanations.

The only unfortunate thing is that some of the files referred to are not available for download and the author does not provide them. But hey, we should create some stuff ourselves, isn't it?

I was planning on getting a copy, years ago.

I believe its for lmms < 1.0, so the actual lmms knowledge will be mostly obsolete. I have not read the book, though, so i do not know if it has goodies in general for understanding basics in music production, but then again -theres a lot of homepages, that can give you that understanding too. I don't agree. I just recently bought the book and although it was kinda obsolete, there was a lot of theoretical knowledge in the book that I haven't been able to find online.
