I just downloaded LMMS 1.2.0 rc-5 beta 64 bit, and it won't launch. Absolutely nothing happens when I try to open it.
Possible solutions I've tried:
-restarting computer
-uninstalling and reinstalling lmms
-trying the 32 bit version
-running it as administrator

I'm using windows 10, 64 bit.
Any ideas about what's going on? 1.1.3 worked fine for me.

First:
Did you make a proper de-install of 1.1.3?

Otherwise you have tried what i normally would suggest...
Please report back if the config-file was the issue -We normally solves these things :p

Thanks, moving the file .lmmsrc.xml to the plugins folder fixed the problem.

Just a note that the instructions in that link are a bit weird, there is no "documents and settings" folder, I found the file in C:\Users\<username>

Oh i thought i had updated that part really, the wiki is ~8 y old so that instruction was for xp :p

I had the same problem as above (with LMMS 1.3)

On my older Z800 workstation LMMS wouldn't load past the splash screen. When looking for the .lmms.xml file, my computer couldn't find anything.

in a weird search for the solution, I copied the .xml from my laptop (where everything is working fine) to the workstation, and changed the paths to correspond with my workstation (and also deleted the recent files etc).

lo and behold ! everything working fine.
Just posted in case some body has the same problem.

You mean 1.1.3 -right?
I recommend you to upgrade!
*Back-up your own stuff
*De-install current installation
*(re)move the config dot-file

*remove your current installation-pack
*download a fresh new installation-pack either x32 or x64 of
LMMS 1.2.0 RC7 Orange buttons!

Linux-users need the AppImage on the Linux-tab!
*re-install as administrator
You will have better VST support, and a win10 glitch with 1.1.3 is fixed!
