Pls can you help -- I have Windows 7 (64bit Home edition) and RC5 (64bit) won't run.
No splash screen. Nothing.
I revert back to RC4 and all is fine.
Then back to RC5 and nothing again.
What's the problem with RC5?
Grateful for any help!

RC5 (64bit) won't run.

First of all. Get a new pack!

Remove current, and also remove the config-file:

Then how about these:

* Are you installing as admin? Do! -and grant all users access!
* Do you install inside your windows-folder? Dont!

Thanks for the advice.
I removed all traces of LMMS from my PC and 'clean' installed RC5 to directory C:\LMMS (as Administrator).
Now it boots.

However, in audio Settings it doesn't show my Presonus Audiobox VSL ASIO driver.
The only options I see are:

~ SDL (Simple Direct Media Layer)
~ Dummy (no sound output)

Why won't it find my sound hardware?

Unfortunately ASIO does not work with libSoundio. Previously there were ASIO 'support' through libsoundAudio, with a few ..borrowed dlls.
Natively, lmms has never supported ASIO.
Afaik, there is no ASIO version for libSoundio, so the correct backend for ALL windows users are SDL

[ if anyone knows about a dll that do have ASIO / ASIO4ALL support with libSoundio, please let us know! ]
