Hey,
Every time i load a VST into LMMS it doesnt load, usually the VST comes up but isnt responsive, then LMMS crashes and i have to re-open. Right now about 5-10% of VSTs that i have used actually work (including verified ones like Synth1 and Splash)

I would like to use synth VSTs in my music, so what should I do?
If i wait, just leave it, will they load eventually, or is there an error in the way i am installing them?

Hi, to help you, please tell us the OS you use (incl. version), the LMMS version and the plugins you tried.

Hi, to help you, please tell us the OS you use (incl. version), the LMMS version and the plugins you tried.

I'm on Windows 10, using LMMS V1.1.3, and tried plugins such as Anti-Transpirant, Synth1, Sonico, Splash, Lethality, Noizem4k3r, Dexed and other synth plugins that i cant remember, but you get the idea

Okay:
A few verified vst's on the Lmms wiki list, that I linked you to before, might
in some cases, take a few minutes to load properly, into lmms.

If some of them, take too long to load into lmms, then that means, there is
a problem.

Ok Lets test if VST works at all
Download MDA-Piano http://mda.smartelectronix.com/synths.htm
It is very small in size, and you can just copy it to your folder. -Eg NO installation! Further its a quite good piano-instrument, so it is a win win

Insert that in your defined VST-folder:

No, that folder is for FX plugins. Don't do that please.
