This is my third attempt at creating a song. Feedback is more than welcome, however I do not have any background in music whatsoever, so I please ask that it is in layman's terms.

I'm going to keep updating this post with the newest version for anyone that is interested in following my progress.

Welcome to the forums AgentJMartian.

Okay, all of the melodies are in tune and in the correct pitch, with each other. Good work on that.
And that build up from 28 to 36 secs, is really good.

The clap sounds nice and I can tell, that you added an effect to it.
Did you use a calf reverb on the clap? If so, very cool.

Thank you! :D

Yes, I used calf reverb. Its kind of my fallback in order to add depth to a sound. I know I probably shouldn't rely on it though haha. Thank you for the feedback, it is very much appreciated. I'm not sure if I'm happy with the first section before the buildup, it still feels like its lacking something, but I will continue working on it. I'm glad the buildup turned out well, though. Its the first time I've tried to implement one.

Cool. But believe it or, adding a reverb effect, or a calf reverb to a sound, is one of many ways
to add depth to a sound. The other is using an equalizer, or both a reverb and an equalizer.

With the calf reverb effect, play around with the two magical dials, called the wet and dry dials.

Well, for a first try, you did really good work with making one.

Okay,....even though I can't compare the 2 versions of the track, I can definitely hear
a good improvement in this one.

Okay, I have a suggestion:
That last loud clap sound, at the end of the build up, from 31 secs to 36 secs
I think if you make it echo somehow, it will give it a nice, cool stylistic effect to it. :)

That's a good idea, I'll try and implement that. I also feel like the middle section is still lacking, although I don't know what to add to it.
