So I accidentally deleted a whole lot of project files off my macbook and I was wondering if there was any way to get them back.

You should probably ask in a Mac oriented forum. In the mean time, don't save anyting on your mac.

Just as Zonk says. You issue is not one with lmms.
And "Yes", you can get deleted files back. You can not get erased files back
Deletion kind of remove the label on a drawer in a shelf, that label can be found again! However, programs that can do this cost money.
Erasing will turn the drawer upside down! All is Gone

Wooah! That sucks dude.
Hopefully, you'll get an answer, from the mac forums. They'll know what to do.
And if possible, you might have to find/download, one of those free data recovery software,
that also work on macs. I hope you get through though.

PS: Welcome to the forums Tom Fury.

The first way you can recover is Trash Bin and Time Machine Backup, which fails, and there are other ways to recover deleted files on Mac.
