Lmms doesnt see my external harddrive ubuntu

Hello, im Gait from the netherlands and i have lmms installed on my laptop ( ubuntu 16.04)

Lmms doesnt see my external hard drive,

I want to save my songs and other lmms stuff to my external drive, but when i click on save as, i only see my c drive not my external drive.

With all other programms ( ardour etc ) i see and can use my ext hard drive.

Please help

This would probably be fixed first in lmms-1.3.

Ive read it, but i dont understand everything .

So for now its not possible to save to external drives?

Or do i completely misunderstand?

This is my understanding but unfortunately I don't have any external drives here to double check the function.

You could set the working directory to your external drive in setup lmms.
You do need to know the mountpoint, for me in ubuntu 14.04 its /beok/media/exdrive/ your map name
Only problem could be that your drive goes to sleep, and need time to spinup.
