Paired up with a rapper and decided to make something out of the usual house music norm i usually do. Not sure if it'll be a one time thing or not.
Yop,

This a well built track, with a nice work on the drums.
Nice track.

In my headphones, I feel that the voice does not come out enough, the reverb or the effect used puts it in the background. There is also the volume of low frequencies that seems to take over the voice. The reverb or effect used on the voice is fine, but I think it should be punctual, not permanent. Idk, have to test.

Maybe you know Jbarn (https://soundcloud.com/jbarn97), a member of the forum. In these last tracks, he did good things with the voices.

After listening to it, I could tell that you're on to something cool here.
The singers vocals, sound good in the background, during the intro.
But as the track reaches close to the halfway point, the vocals should be a bit more upfront.
Because, leaving it in the background of the tune for too long, makes it sound really distant.

Everything else, the beat and other stuff sound good.
Overall, it's a good track dude.

Yeah I'm always trying to improve my mixing over time. The vocals were even more drowned out before but I'll try to make it more of a punch next time. It always a thing when dealing with vocals, trying to get the proper mix.
Its a good track, but the rap part is a bit too soft. :)
