Hello,
I just downloaded a .xpf file from the forum. Now, I want to know how to use it, as I can't find a plugin that supports it. I use the LMMS version 1.1.13.

Thanks

The preset knows which instrument plug-in it belongs to. Just navigate to where you're storing it in the menu to the left (The two bottom icons will take you to your home and root directories respectively) and drag it into the Song or BBTrack editor as usually.

Hello,
Welcome to the forum Hana109 !

Just as zonk said, the file will use the correct instrument
But i will recommend you to :
Copy your dl xpf-file to the directory that you have chosen as your default preset-folder:
\\lmms_working_dir\presets
Now lmms will find this new preset the next time you open lmms.
Go to sidebar
https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=Side_Bar
Choose MyPresets
Locate the new preset
Right click it, and choose 'Send-to-new-track-in..'
( you decide: songeditor or B&Beditor
That will open your new preset, and now you will be able to se what kind of preset it is!
I recommend that you then make a special folder in your \\lmms_working_dir\presets - Like 'TrippleOsc', and move the XPF file to that folder, before you start using it in projects.
Its an oversight of the uploader, not to post what kind of preset it is, so i sincerely hope its not one of mine :'P
