I have a Lenovo ThinkPad T410 running Linux Mint 19 64 bit. Sound works just fine until I play a sound in LMMS. Sound does not resume working until putting the laptop to sleep and waking it up (closing and reopening the laptop). I don't know why this is happening. If you guys have any ideas on how to troubleshoot this issue, please let me know. I am a newbie when it comes to Linux in general. Thanks.

Are you using the latest version of LMMS ?

'play a sound' .. As in
1) ONE specific sampled sound ?
OR
2) ANY sound at all ?
including ANY instrument ao sample?

I believe you have a NaN event. where one wave is kept as a 'standing wave', oscillating in extreme low frequency. That will block the output for maby ..hours(!)
But answer the questions above, and we can get to the bottom with this..
