First time user trying to setup a piano

I have LMMS install and watched a couple of tutorial, I created a simple piano roll and adding a simple C4 note, when I play it doesnot match the sound on my piano/keypoard, seems like all the notes two low.

Then you adjust your base-note on the LMMS-instrument

I would however also believe, that you have a master pitch dial on your midi-hw, and changing that, would be simpler, and general.
