Triple Oscillator Sound

Hi all,
So I've just recently begun using LMMS with very little exposure to any other DAW. From what I've seen the Triple Oscillator is a good beginners instrument to use, but after the first time using it the sound seems to have changed. I was following a tutorial from Cubician and the oscillator sounded the same as in the tutorial, but now the default instrument has a very apparent wave that sounds like its out of tune. I've tried adjusting the fine detuning knobs, switching up the wave pattern for each oscillator and adjusting the envelope settings from posts I've seen about the crack/pop sound, but nothing seems to help.
Thanks

Ohh.. thats odd!
So if you drag a empty 3oc generator in from side-bar, that empty instrument, that has had NO dial touched -That (horrible) sine-wave has a detuned vibration?
please post your:
* OS (+service-pack-version)
* lmms version
* lmms sound device chosen
* hardware specification (ram & soundcard is the most important)
* Latency setting

I 'bolded' two issues
You ought to upgrade! 1.1.3 is not as good as RC6. but its not the reason for your issue.
Windows WASAPI IS the reason. Select SDL as backend, and i exspect your 3oc to be fine again. SDL is always best for all windows usage.

That isnt an option for me. I only see:
MME
Windows Direct Sound
Windows WASAPI
Windows WDM-KS
would that be 'direct sound'?
