Everytime I open LMMS 1.2.0 rc6 on my Mac, my macs volume will immediately grey out and stop working, and theres no output or input options. It's like this for both the mac software and wine version of the .exe. I've tried the output settings in LMMS, but to no avail. I've restarted my Mac a couple times now and wiped the files once.

-Unfortunately LMMS on MAC is not as well supported af win & linux, but your issue is new, afaik!
What kind of MAC are you running? HW & OS-ver?
The best i can advice you is to open a new ticket on tracker, because this seams to be yet a new MAC-bug
