I need help with MIDI

I have a Casio CDP-100 88-key keyboard and am trying to connect it via MIDI to USB to my computer. When I use GarageBand, it picks up the keyboard fine, but I cannot connect it to LMMS. The keyboard is on and plugged in when I start the program, but all that I get in the MIDI preferences is "Dummy no midi support." What can I do to connect my keyboard? Do I need new cables or a new keyboard, or do I need to get some plug in? Let me know

If you still have issues Let us know the OS you are using and whether you have the newest drivers for your KB
