I know there's a portable version of LMMS for Windows here: https://portableapps.com/apps/music_video/lmms-portable

My question: do portable versions of LMMS exist for Linux and Mac?

Also, why portable versions of LMMS aren't available directly on the LMMS website? It would ensure that they are up-to-date.

One of the problems with the current Windows version is that it's 32-bit only. A 64-bit version would be more useful as it would be able to use more than 4 GB of ram.

Yeah I know, that's why I would prefer a portable version made from the original devs themselves. To be fair though, the portable version on the portableapps website works well. This is the one I currently use, but I would prefer to use the latest beta version instead.

Because portable is NOT supported!
If you dl LMMS from any other site than https://lmms.io/download/
We cant support you, and we cant guarantee anything
You may be installing spyware or botware. Its completely transparent to official LMMS !!!

Bottom line. The only supported and verified versions of LMMS are these
https://lmms.io/download/

Because portable is NOT supported!

Thank you, that's very useful information! Is it that hard to make? I don't know because I'm not a programmer, hence my question.
