I know that you can use the piano roll in the baseline editor on other OS as I’ve watched a few tutorials. However I can’t seem to find any way to pull it up on my Mac. Does anyone know how or if you can on MacOS?

It's not a problem of OS, like you're on mac and tutorial you've seen are on windows.

Just click on the first block of your B&B track, in this way



Then right click on the highlighted block you previous clicked, and select "open it in the piano roll" (is the first option in the menu), then draw your pattern and watch it on your track!
