help with 80s style project

im thinking about trying to make some 80s-style music on lmms. i started learning lmms recently and I've just been making a bunch a trap-style music. i've gotten the hang of how everything works and i'm pretty familiar with the software now. the only thing is that the only type of music i can make that will sound decent is trap music. would someone be able to point me in the direction of a youtube video that explains how to do it or if someone could just give some tips or send me a sample project. if anyone could, that'd be great. thanks
