URGENT help needed for sampling techniques.

So I had a really cool sample that I want to use in LMMS to make a hip hop beat. But when I use piano roll to try and play the sample, the full audio doesn't play. Only the first few seconds of the sample plays and then the audio is shut off. Is this a technical issue or is there something that I should know.

There are multiple reasons why a sample could cut short. The sample could be broken somehow. The volume envelope could be activated with an unsuspected setting or it could be a bug in lmms. There is one such bug but it is for beat notes. The zero length notes that are assigned to the Beat/Bassline notes. These notes are supposed to play until they stop but actually are cut short dependent on the volume envelope settings even if the envelope is otherwise all off.

Could it be that you first started using the sample in the Beat/Bassline and then opened the pattern in the Piano Roll to continue editing and that the notes are really beat notes? Can you change the length of the notes with the mouse by dragging at the end?
Can you turn up the volume envelope settings (adsr...) but not the amount?

Try extending the note length in the piano roll. Like zonkmachine said, the default note in the beat/bassline editor is zero length. Even if you're not in the beat/bassline editor, if you're using the Audio File Processor instrument, the sample will cut off at the end of the note. I think the note length in the piano roll is set to "last note" by default... there's a drop down menu up top where you can change it to quarter note, and extend it from there.
