What do I do before using LMMS to get good quality of the instruments? I get connected to the internet while I make music, is this a problem?

Depending on your hardware. If you have a one kernel pc, i would disconnect. Things like ICQ skype MSN and other, are the ones that could result in crackle and pops, but hey, the one thing i get most annoyed with, is my mobile........ :'/

I usually take off my internet, before making tunes.
