Downloading Samples online

So I downloaded a sample package of some beats and jazz but I do not have an application to open these and transfer them. What do I need to do? And yea Im a rook

It depends on the compression.
If it is a ZIP, you can do it naively on windows
But there are Resources online that can handle most compressions:

But you can find many more online
Search for "extract files free online" in google, and use common sense in respect to mal-ware and virus !

If i am reading your question correctly,

You want to know how to unpack your download and put them in the correct location for LMMS to use them?

• Download a program called, '7Zip', it will unpack pretty much anything,

• Stores the files in any location of your choice for now.

• Next, in LMMS, attempt to load an already built in Sample, it will bring up a window that shows you where they are stored, take note of the pathway.

• Next, Close LMMS, navigate to your new unpacked files, copy them and then go to where you noted the built in LMMS samples are stored on your PC, paste them into this location.

You should now be able to find your samples in the same location as all of your other LMMS samples.
