Theres a 50% chance that when I play sound on LMMS it sounds really 8-"bity" and it also speeds up the sound aswell.

This also happens when I am in piano roll, or press the "play" button, It works but also does the above.

I am running Linux and using lmms beta.

What exactly
and using lmms beta.
Do you mean the APP-Image?
If not get and install that from the Linux-tab!
https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/releases/d ... 4.AppImage
In Linux RC8 Disable'Sync VST plugins to host playback'!!!
Rem. to backup before you reinstall!
Let us know the outcome :)

Ubuntu :: I am using the app-image.
oke..
Its not general. I have not heard of this before, so its related to your settings or your system
Settings
* What backend do you use?
Linux users uses JACK and more, so version of those components could be your problem. I have been told, that linux works just fine with SDL -You could try that too

* What Buffer setting do you have?
Mine is Frames 4096 Latency 92.7
always worked for me, but im on windows, so..

System
is difficult. You could look at things running, and shut them down. Long back Skype gave issues, i doubt it does now.
You may have conflicts, or bad drivers
Painstaking s&i / t&e
Run some diagnostic and scan..
