When I load a .dll effect it takes about a minute to load and then, when it does load it doesn't have a controls button

I'm running Linux Mint. LMMS 1.2.0

In Edit| Settings| Misc
Disable: Sync VST plugins to host playback'

Your 1.2.0 is it the AppImage from our DL site? -Must be

Yes the appimage is from the lmms download site.

I disabled VST syncing (ect).. and restarted lmms , it didn't work.

..I can see you have this issue with at least 2 effects
Is every VST-effect like that?

How about VST-instruments? Does they open correctly, and have the control-button?

Just tryed it out and vsts instruments just will not load, it will take a while to respond but once that's done nothing happens

This time I'm on my desktop that has ubuntu and its the same problem with the effects too

Ok -This have to be your WINE that is defect.
You need to contact the pac-man for Mint, and get instructions for what WINE you ned to install, and how you need to install it.
When both VST instruments and effects are not working, it must be WINE
