I created a nice beat and having been working and editing for a while. When I got on it today a message popped up saying that it can't be open due to an error. There was also a file ending .Bak. i read from another post that by changing the name of it, it will reopen from the last save. but the file only shows in lmms and not in my File explorer. I've tried everything to fix it, but noting seems to work.

Well no, that is the Recover.<extOfYourChoice>

The file <YourProject>.BAK will be saved in the same directory as your projects. You will only see the .BAK extention, if you have enabled extensions in your windows-preference-setup, so it it not shown you need to change your folder-settings in Windows.
