I am currently using Lubuntu in version 18.04 and I wonder when will be LMMS officially update from version 1.1.3 to .1.2.0 in Ubuntu Software Center or in a Software Update?
Currently I have two version of LMMS. Old 1.1.3 and new 1.2.0 in AppImage.
I have nothing against Snap, Flatpak or AppImage packages but I prefer to traditionally use software which is physically installed on my PC.

You should ask the Ubuntu package builders about this.

LMMS has no control over this.

I suspect they don't even know yet there is a new stable version.

I suspect they don't even know yet there is a new stable version.

Its save to use the Appimage file though, from the LMMS download page.

Download it, and set rights to executable.

Then just double click to start LMMS. First back up things you don't wanna loose though.
