Creating random bak files.

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Every time I save a song, the song itself is updated, but it also creates another copy of the song which is the same but it has .bak at the end of this. Apparently it's a backup file. It's been happening ever since I installed LMMS even on my old computer, but I've just ignored it. Up until recently. I've been working on lots of projects and it's getting really annoying. Is there anyway to stop it? thanks :)

No it is not. It is a penultimate version of the project!
Meaning that the BAK files, alway let you roll one version back, in case you completely ruins you loaded project!
BAK-files is an important fail-safe, made for your benefit!
But of-cause you can decide not to have this (not recommended!)
Go into Edit| Settings| General -and untick Create BAK-files...Image.
(second from bottom)

You will then only have one rescue file-type : Restore.<>
Up to you...

Oh thanks for the tip. I think I'll keep them on while working on big projects but at the moment I'm going through loads and it's getting annoying. Thanks :)
