As only dub lover with you I must listen...
As always nice dub.
Dont you think about trying new sound for the skanks? Sounds too modern for that type of dub and not enough consistant imo , lacks some medium freqs.
A bientôt!

This one nice.
TIp: One thing I noticed, is that the volume of the
bass seems to dip, when the
lower notes of the bass melody, start to play. One good way to solve this, is to automate the volume to raise up, as the lower notes start to play.

Hi brandystarbrite,
I am aware of this issue, and I try to fix it in several ways:
- in the song editor, I rise the level of the lower notes when I create the bass line
- I added a bass booster
- I added an EQ
Maybe are my bass booster and EQ settings wrong, maybe is ZynAddSubFX not the most appropriate tool to get a good bass sound, I don't know....

Well old good LB does the job in my tracks.
With good EQing and volume setting.
I personnaly never use any booster, if I want more then I cut more the med and highs on Eq and eventually rise output volume a little.
I also think you can get decent bass with ZynAddSub also, you should work post synth processing (eq....).
And the bass never has same volume at all notes

but if you want you can play with velocities or automation.

And how about the skanks?
It depends on what you call the skanks...For me, the skanks is everything that is on beats 2 and 4: most often guitar and keyboard chords.

There are several french translations for the word "flatten"...Could you tell me in French what you meant?

For others it was a disgression about importance of the skank synth in dub music
