Synchronize flanger on soundfont player

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi, I don't know if this is the right section, but I have some problems trying to synchronize a flanger effect ("Calf Flanger LADSPA") applied to a soundfount player ("fluidR3_GM" soundfont, "Brightness" instrument) with the song tempo.

In particular, I noticed that even if I stop the song and play it again to find the right moment in which the "peaks" of the flanger happen, the flanger just continues its periodic oscillation from where it has been stopped when I pushed the "stop" button...

In other words: the flanger doesn't "start back" every time the note of the instrument it is assigned to is played...
Obviously, this gives me tempo synchronization problems...

Someone can show me how to overcome this?

Try this:
In Settings| General
Disable Keep-effects-running-even-without-input
Maby that can influence the situation, but i doubt it. Currently LMMS has no default discreet synch ability. It will come

Hi musikbear and thank you for your, always quick, help!!

Unfortunately I had already found and tried that configuration... But it didn't help =(.

Could you explain me more technically what is the lack? Lmms isn't able to "start the effect" when the note is played? This is the "discreet synch" you're talking about?

Exactly! LMMS LFO, as well as notes in sequence, has a pr. time-behaviour, rather than a pr-note behaviour. You can use some VSTs to get pr-note behaviour like:

-But that is only for a specific VST
Generally, I'm afraid there i nothing to do :|
