I started a project and when I load it back up I get an error message that lists VST's that could not be loaded. I did make sure the directorys are correct and LMMS Does locate the VST's but on occasion I get the error when loading a save file.

Only very few VSts instruments, will do that, if you use 1.2.0!
Can you tell us the name of the VST, please
But Lets test if VST works at all
You should try MDA-Piano http://mda.smartelectronix.com/synths.htm
It is very small in size, and you can just copy it to your folder. -Eg NO installation! Further its a quite good piano-instrument, so it is a win win
