Linux Mint. How to install LMMS-vst-full package.

Hi,

I am trying to install lmms-vst-full package on Linux Mint 19.3 via KX repositories (added them using the deb file) but get the error that the package cannot be found..

On a fresh Ubuntu installation, I added the KX repos via the deb file, and did the same sudo apt-get install lmms-vst-full and on this OS the package was found and installed fine.. What am I missing here?

Welcome to the forum and you should ask that question on a Mint and or the Kx studio forum.

You're using mint, you add a non mint repository, and then ask lmms what's wrong ?


There is however an easier solution.
If you're on a 64 bit system, you can go to the download page of LMMS, download the appimage file, under rights make the file executable, and start LMMS by clicking the apimage file.

Works for Arch Fedora Suse, Ubuntu and Mint, and probably allot more distro.

Everything that Gps just said, but adding to that, you should un-install anything LMMS you have installed already, before you install the app-image!
