Sadly a LMMS user installed a LMMS from " Someone ". It contained the most serious ransome-ware-virus .kuup.
Firstly: Do NOT E V E R install -even download LMMS from any other source, than the official Download-page!
Secondly! Use a good and fully updated virus-scanner on all files you download!
It is next to annoying to have to write this, and it properly really annoying to read it.. But peeps do still get infected, and now it is a fact, that LMMS has been targeted, by ransom-ware scammers.

Sadly, it is possible to download a legitimate copy on an official website and provider just like on what happened to Audacity + Fosshub in their hijacking few years ago. But, being the source code located in GitHub and it is pretty secured, there is no way for the installers be infected with malware.
