Using keyboard with ZynaddSubFX

Hello guys,

So I have a problem that is pretty annoying. I'm starting to learn how to use (well) ZynaddSubFx but when I work on the Edit instrument section and I change parameters, I have to go back to the LMMS window in order to play the note with my keyboard and listen to the sound. And as you may know, when You click on the LMMS window, every Zynadd windows will be miniaturized...

Can anyone tell me how to play a note without exiting the Zynadd window ?

One thing I have noted with ZynaddSubFX is it really is another program that is running along side of LMMS and not totally inside LMMS. So using alt-tab to switch to Zyn is often what I do. Not sure if this will solve your issue. (I don't use a musical keyboard)

Yeah that's what I usually do, I wonder if the only way to solve this problem would be to use a muscial keyboard

yop and you will find, that this is also how it is, with most VSTs
It is a OS-focus issue. Just as Mr_LMMS_user said, they are different programs, imagine you had your important assignment open in one program, and something like LMMS open beside, how miff you would be if any keypress in LMMS would ruin your important document, or vis-a-vi...
It has to be so!
What i do, is to make a loop in piano-roll, and just let it play. All changes of dials not in zasfx' PAD-synth, witch is super special! -will be audible immediately.
