Can someone guide me what is the correct instrument to use in order to create kicks that sound like this?

imo it is not a kick, it is a bass!
Kick-drum will typically go on first beat, here you have a melodic low rhythmic sound, that follows the melody. That is a bass.
The sound is rather like the plastic-tube-hit, but not quite. I think its a FM modulated square-wave, but it has something 'else' to. Not so easy. Its fun that some ridiculous simple 'music', can have really complicated sounds :p

Bass01 is factory, so you have the exact same file, then set the dials as mine. Its not exact the same, but similar

Holy hamsters! This song! I haven't heard this tune, in a really long time.
Concerning the kick bass sound you're trying to recreate, you can also use Synth 1 vst, to make that sound too.
