Stuck loading screen and 4front piano x64 error. Help!! ;(

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hello guys!

I'm an amateur who started experimenting stuff on LMMS, a few days ago. So I basically started getting to understand the program and everything and got interested in downloading some VST-plugins... So I made a very sick beat with some piano over it, using the 4front Piano x64 version, and it took me a long time. I made a backup file though, for safety...
Apparently I'm using the older version (1.0.3), and I cannot use the latest somehow, but that's another story. What the problem is, is that I downloaded this VST-plugin named "4Front Piano" the 64-bit version, along with a couple of other plugins... I literally had no problems with the VST-plugins, everything worked excellently... But then all of a sudden, the screen froze, and I had to re-start the program. As soon as I got in again, I tried to open the projects I used the downloaded VST-plugins on. As soon as I opened it, it somehow froze at 85% loading screen... I was very frustrated. So I tried a couple of times, and guess what? it happened again! After hours and hours of trying to solve, nothing special happened... It still got stuck at 85% loading screen and still does it.

So I thought that in the meantime, while you guys could help me out, I would try (just necessarily) to re-make the project. But then I encountered a new problem. Whenever I tried to use the 4Front Piano, it sent a message telling me that "4Front Piano x64.dll could not be loaded for some reason", and I have been stuck ever since... I really have been surfing the forum and youtube for any additional help, but unluckily I couldn't find anything useful though.
I really don't know what to do. And I really hope any of you guys could help me out! :(

Hello guys!
Hi, Welcome to the Forum Hamudi8210 !

Noo That could very well be the story.
Why cant you use 1.2.1?
please post your:
* Name of your Operative System (Windows/ Linux/ Mac) And subtype ('Home' 'Mint' '10.13' aso)
* lmms sound device chosen
* hardware specification (ram & soundcard is the most important)
the screen froze, and got stuck at 85% loading screen and still does it.
Ok. Because you have a project that is partially loadable, but get stuck, i believe i can repair it.
upload it somewhere, and send me the link in an IM, and i will give it a try
Hello musikBear!

Thank you for welcoming me.
The fact that it's not working because of the version makes complete sense if so.
Here is everything you need to know:
Operative system & subtype: Microsoft Windows 10 Home
LMMS Sound Device: RHDA (Realtek) & USB audio device
Ram: 8 GB ram

When I download and install the latest version of LMMS (1.2.1), when scanning it tells me a hundred times that a .dll file is missing... Like literally hundreds of times... But in the 1.0.3 version it only tells me a Qtcore4.dll and Libwinpthread.dll is missing.
Btw if I have saved and made a backup from a project I made using the VST-plugins, including the 4Front Piano, can I some sort of transfer or revive it in the new version (1.2.1)?
If you need any more information, imma give ya.
Have you tried googling on the .dll file that LMMS says is missing ?

Or make a screenshot of the message and show us?

Hello Gps.
I have made a video showing that the 4Front Piano x64.dll file doesn't work, and with a handful of others as well. If you want to see it, I'll send you it though. What it says is "The VST-plugin 4Front Piano x64.dll could no be loaded for some reason", and literally tells the same as soon as I click on a VST-plugin in the VST-folder. I don't know what to do though. I'm kinda stuck and have been that since morning, trying to figure out how to fix it. ;(

I just had a look, and it seems I am using the32 bit version, of 4 front piano.

Not sure if vestige supports 64 bit vst yet.

Picture shows that you have your VSTs in your Program-files-directory. That is an odd choice!
Your own dl of VST-dll and dependecies, 'should' be in your Documents/LMMS/Plugin/Vestige folder/
I know of others that has installed inside the windows libraries, and then there is all kind of permission mehblabuh, and nothing really works..
I think you should make a completely clean reinstall, in default libraries.
AFTER backup !!!
1) Uninstall from control panel
2) Move config-file
wiki: https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=LM ... h_Settings
3) Delete manually any folders you have left
Re-install 1.2.1 AS Administrator! AND in the folders suggested default

I believe that should be enough

But.. If it is not working, because you installed inside windows, then more is needed..

Now.... IF!!!
And i MEAN I F you are a computer-literate, and know what CMD mean and does, then..
you can get rid of everything, by running CMD

Right click CMD, run as Administrator
Delete C:\Program Files\LMMS:
cmd:
del "%programfiles%\LMMS"
del "%programfiles(x86)%\LMMS"

Move -config file .lmmsrc.xml:
cmd:
move "%userprofile%\.lmmsrc.xml" "%userprofile%\.lmmsrc.bak"

But that is ONLY for Computer-literate !!
