Better keyboard notes input

I want keyboard notes to be typed like cakewalk, using keyboard arrow keys to raise or lower the small group of input notes.
The range of keyboard notes input is too small

You can already raise / lower all or a selection of notes any number of octaves:
*Select the notes
*Hold Ctrl
*Press up/ dwn key, and the notes moves accordingly. If nothing is selected all moves
