I am using a MacBook Pro 2009 that is on Mac OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6 .

I used to have LMMS ver. 1.1.3 but I wanted to upgrade to a newer version.

I tried downloading v1.2.0 rc7 and rc8 for mac-10.8.dmg but they keep crashing right after I try to open them.

Is there a way to fix this issue??

Could you please try this version.
It is the newest for MAC OS, but The issue is that it is for OS 10.13+ ...

I am not sure it will run on your 10.11.6, but i think you should try.
