...that bot activity is getting more aggressive here in these forums? :/

Hmmm I just ignore, don't reply then report some of them.

Yeah. Don't worry. The bots are being taken cared of by the mods and admins.
They are being reported by many users. And it's good you're reporting them too.

The bots seem to be attacking other forums too. Even on game engine forums like Unity. Good thing the mods and admins, on both of these forums, are taking care of them.

Because nobody bothered to report it
Now its done, but in 'Announcement' you can find the link for proper to report spam-attack
I remove what i see, as long as its doable ~ <50 or so, and most has .. But serious attack can be 1000'th, and then the tool lies in the DB, and is a task for DB-manager!
Report through the proper channel!

Yeah it's been since late 2018 and those bots dont seem to stop :/ though, it was discovered that they came from a server in Finland, whose headquarters is located in Russia.

Hmm I was thinking now that bots from these forums came from a server in Korea since Korean text. Also, I used Google translate and they advertise online casinos on the part of the text with many links. These links look like dummies/computer generated and those links might lead to something harmful :yuck:

As of the time I am typing this, the new bot is currently active and just made a new post
memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=7179
search.php?author_id=7179&sr=posts
Also it might be a bit tricky for these to be taken down immediately because they are active at the times the mods/admins are asleep. They usually post at afternoon or late morning, GMT +08:00, which is dawn and late night at the other side of the world

edit: is it possible to block their ip's though?

How do we know if it is a bot activity or not?
