Hey y'all, this is my first time using LMMS to make a song, so I am little confused. How do you put together a song using the song editor. I've tried just clicking on the bar for where i says "Beat/Baseline 0" on the picture and the light blue bar that you see appeared, but the only problem is that, the whole track of instruments is playing. I am trying to isolate the instruments one by one and have them playing separately on their own "Beat/Baseline" (which is why I have 5 in the pic). I tried to go back onto the Beat/Baseline Editor and just mute the other instruments out for each baseline, but that didn't work. When I have them separated into their own beat/baseline (1-5) the instrument plays only. For example, in the picture that says "Beat/Baseline 5" only the soft piano 1 is playing, not the other instruments and so on for the rest. I want to do this so that when I get them all playing separately on the song Editor, I can make the instruments come in and out and flow together how I want. Thanks!!

You could make a song like this, but in general its done different.

There are two ways to open the piano roll, one you're already using through the bbe.

Other one is just to click in the song editor.

Okay is that demo song, available on this site or YouTube. And how is the other way the song is made? Thanks again!!

That song is under demo's in LMMS.

There is a channel on YouTube called TJ Free, that has a very organized list of tutorials on how to use LMMS.
There are 18 videos right now. but he adds new videos from time to time. I learned to use the LMMS from watching these videos. I would recommend checking those out.
