Some of my soundfonts arent working

hi, ive had LMMS for quite some time now, but as of this month, a lot of my soundfonts have either stopped working, or my new ones wont direct correctly.

For example, I've had a pokemon based soundfont that has worked for a while, but all of a sudden it wont direct to the soundfont, even if i manually select it.

here is what it looks like when i try to select one that doesnt work

i have downloaded a lot of new soundfonts lately... could it be that the folder has too many?

Lets look at that, because new ones may be defective, but old ones that used to work, should still work.
Non of you pictures shows up, so i cant see what errors you have.

I would like you to repost your pictures, and then we can take the issue from there

as you can see here,im trying to load CASIO but the file itself does not direct to the soundfont no matter what i do. If i put a default soundfont in my settings, it redirects to the default instead.

The previous soundfont i had used for a long time was called "Modern Pokemon", but it is too big of a font to upload to google drive without taking up a lot of space. It stopped working after i began to download various other soundfonts and samples and save them in the "samples" folder in my documents. maybe its too many in one place?

But no, you need to select the soundfont, and perhaps even a patch.
First you click on the pink icon for folders
then browse to the folder with the soundfont
Select it
That will now look like this:

Obs that there now is a file-name where it says FILE -next to the pink icon!
The PATCH is for multi-SF. Many SFs has a lot of pathes, and that you may have to select too, but if your CASIO SF is singular in nature, you only need to load is as FILE
(Some even has BANKS -then you set that up too)

But you will sooner or later need a default soundfont!
LMMS uses this SF every time you import a MIDI file
We recommend General-User-SF with the complete MIDI-base-orchester

Then you need to point to that SF in your settings
Edit| Settings| Directories| Default-soundfont
as Default-soundfont

no, that's not the problem. for one, i already had a default sound font, but took it down temporarily so i can fix my issue with my other sound fonts. The reason i took it down is because any sound font that wouldn't direct would automatically go to my default, which wasn't helping matters. I've been using LMMS for about a year and a half, so i know at the very least how to set a default.

the actual problem is that I've tried the sound fonts that don't work in LMMS in FL studio, and they work fine save for a few that are just corrupted. The ones that work fine are not redirecting in LMMS, even if i manually select the font.

the "modern pokemon" font i'm using has multiple instruments, and has worked up until about two months ago. other sound fonts with multiple instruments work fine, and modern pokemon worked in FL as well.

the dl is from the google drive link in the description. its still up, but its a multi-instrument bank so its a larger file.

I tried CASIO.VL1.PIANO.SF2 and can confirm that it's borked. Either it's the sf2 that is broken or it's lmms or it could be both actually.

It wouldn't open in the Swami soundfont editor either. That's a hint that it's the file that's broken.
