Hello,
I'm new in this forum. I don't see the presentation section, so I post direcly my question.
I try to use LMMS and I want to install on a dedicated PC on Linux Mint to connect to my Yamaha. But I install also LMMS on my Windows10 PC to begin tutorial!
I use the SoundFonts Midi "GeneralUser GS v1.471" and I loaded a midi song file.
All is good on my Windows PC and I find on the rhythm line the bank "128" and the path "0" in use. Normal for the drums!
But, I have the same config on my Linux PC with LMMS installed and the same soundfont file (GeneralUser GS v1.471).
And when I load the same song, the rhythm line use the bank "0" and the patch "0" instead of the bank "128" !!!!! and I hear Stereo grand Piano on the rhythm line.
I spent many time to understand the problem : I tried another soundfont version v1.35, another song, I uninstalled LMMS, Linux,....
I think the soundfont file (sf2 format) is the same for windows and for linux??? Right?
does anyone have an idea where to look ?
did anybody had the same problem?
Thank you very much for your help.
