I am unable to save a project

When I try to save the project I am currently working on, I get an error message that says: "Project NOT saved."

That sounds like you are trying to save in a folder where you do not have any rights
What you should do is to save to a different disk/ folder, could even be a USB
In your project go to
File| Save-as <name you like> .mmp
I suggest here that you save as .mmp, not mmpZ, with is the default format. mmp can be examined, in case there is some oddity in the file, but then it properly wont save at all. Lets hope that does not happen!
