The RaveBass plugin has an infinitive Sustain, witch result in output for as long as the note is pressed.
If the note is pressed short time, like a 'tab' on the note, then the output follows the Envelope Decay-settings, and produces a short pluck-like output, that is very common in synth-bass-type plugins, and allow you to both have long note-output, and the typical plug-like sound in electronica.
Your wish for a longer sound could be achieved using long-notes or setting up longer Decay or long Release
Try doing that, and see what is best for your idea.
