Hi, new here! I'm wondering if anyone has any answers to the question above, as all info I found was from years ago. Do I need to download a specific version of LMMS? Do I need a midi mapper (?)? etc. I'd love to use this free software, given garage band's limitations, but I still can't find my Akai MPK mini in the MIDI settings. Thanks

I still can't find my Akai MPK mini in the MIDI settings.

Afaik, External MIDI-keyboards ARE supported on MAC
You do however need to connect in the right sequence, on all OS

Akai MPK mini is working on both win and linux, so i would also expect it to be ok for MAC
As you can see from what i just wrote, i do know if you can connect your AKAI, so your findings are actually interesting for us
