Couldn't find a filter for importing file

I have seen others posting on here with this issue but I haven't found a fix from any of the threads. I get the following message when I try and import a wav file from audacity: Couldn't find a filter for importing file (file location). You should convert this file into a format supported by LMMS using another software.

The funny thing is that I managed to import a wav file a few weeks ago with no issue. So I used that file as a control test but now even that one doesn't work. Now I want to import a new wav file and it won't let me :-( please help.

I think this originate from a rights-complication
I believe you are using win10....
Win10 Defender can make the weirdest popups, and lock you out from using your own files.
Try and run LMMS as Administrator, if you have those rights.
Let us know the outcome :)
And if it not fixed -please post your:
* Name of your Operative System (Windows/ Linux/ Mac) And subtype ('Home' 'Mint' '10.13' aso)
* lmms version
