Vestige is acting out....

If I load vst into Vestige, say Synth1, I can use the vst fine. From vestige I can change patches, but if I click show GUI so that I can synthize my own sounds the dialog box that would normanly show the Synth1 GUI is black. Even stranger, I can click certain areas, like a know, and it will become visable.
Rarely a vst's GUI will load, but it doesn't all seem to fit into the dialog box.

I've notice one other post here about a similar problem, but the OP said that they had just updated their linux distro. I am on windows 7.

Is this a know bug in LMMS v1.1.3, or does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can correct this?

I thought this was an issue with wine; the stuff that runs Windows binaries in linux.
I haven't noticed this behaviour in my windows 8.1 though (same computer, I dual boot between linux and windows).

to me that sounds like a graphic-card issue
Could you try a different resolution on your card
Some cards does best with 'normal' setups like 1080*1024, but less success with like 1080*800 -Is it a labtop with an onboard chip graphic?

Musikbear, you were spot on. I lowered the screen resolution and the problem I described above was solved! Thanks for the suggestion!

Hey!
So I'm having the same problem - I kept lowering the resolution, but nothing happened. Any other suggestions? :s

Oh sorry! Thanks for the reminder!
I'm using a Windows 7 (32-bit), LMMS version 1.1.3. I'm not very sure if this is what you mean, but it seems the graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB (through a Parallels Adapter, but I'm not sure if that's relevant), the processor is 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7, and the RAM memory is 16 GB.

I'm trying to use the CS Bass One. I just tested out this link and it seems to be working fine:
http://www.flstudiomusic.com/2011/04/bass-one-vsti.html
And an alternative just in case:
http://www.vst4you.com/pages/vst%20inst ... 20one.html

The resolutions in the screenshots are different because I thought lowering it would work, as was suggested, so sorry if it looks a bit confusing :P
Nearly every time I open the GUI, it looks a bit different, but it's almost always is entirely black. I can still turn the knobs and edit settings if I guess where they are correctly, though, it's just the visualization.

Good documentation and explanation -thank you
That is indeed a graphic issue.
I would like you to try this
* grab the black interface and move it around. What happens (flashing ??
*Close all other windows, than the black one. What happens
*Open one window, and choose to maximize it, so it completely covers the black one, then toggle the covering window away, so the black one again is visible
What happens?
*Try to use the context menu on the black one, and choose maximize
What happens?
Tomorrow i might dl the vst, and try on my pc (much less in config than yours, btw:)
No time today
