Well done for putting this up. It stops a bit abruptly - either find a way to put a musical close in at the end, or alternatively fade it out.
If you can use Automation on the volume levels and also on the tempo, that might help, though I'm not sure if it's easy to do that in real time in LMMS. I think I tried that recently, and it didn't work smoothly enough, so I reverted back to Logic.
Have you tried mixing dynamically in real time? That can be used to bring out particular solo instruments - whcih I think is typical of jazz tracks - though can be overdone. I think that does work in LMMS - though - but that's something I need to check.
Dynamic mixing and automation may need a fast processor, and I guess ideally some people like to use Midi controllers - something I've been thinking about - but so far I just use the mouse or trackpad and software controllers. Even doing automation offline is probably worth while, but if you can do it in real time in "performance" mode you'll probably find that easier.
Not sure how you uploaded to Soundcloud. If you generated mp3 you might have used Joint Stereo, which kills some of the spatial effects. For uploading to Soundcloud might be good to put "lmms" in as a tag.
You can probably enhance the sense of space by adding some reverb - but not sure what's the best way to do that in LMMS. You can certainly pan instruments to the left or right, but then they might sound too dry, so reverb helps to get a better sense of space. It's quite surprising how that can make a difference, but it might change the character of a piece too much.
Well done - I hope to hear the next one soon.
