That is called
clicks ao
pops
They come from either starting or terminating a sound away from 0 dB
You can see that illustrated here:
The wave-form (red) will creates clicks/ pops unless it is either starting or terminating in the purple points!
But luckily we have two methods to avoid these
artefacts
Both need you to use an
envelope

So since you believe that the pop appears as the note
terminate, adding a little
Release should remove your artefact.
Let us know the outcome, because if its not envelope-related, then its a more technical thing and then please post your:

* lmms
version
* lmms
sound device chosen
