Hello, This is the first tame I make a post here, I'd like to ask if anyone here know someone who could make a modern electro house song using just what LMMS offers (No vst nor external plugins).

I made a try I'd like to share

I could not use sidechain compression :(

But you got a good track, mix it and do the sidechain neatly, and it will be great

@Gps

You're right, it was not on propose. i think i need to learn how to master this stuff

@musikbear

Thanks! I was looking for something like this! Every tutorial I saw about sidechain compression had to do with the peak controller (Which clips in every step) I'd probably fix the song, thanks a lot!

Well, this is as far as I got with electro house using pure LMMS (no external samples or instruments): https://soundcloud.com/umcarujesdoodles ... un-n-stuff
I could perhaps upload it to LSP if you want (its not a finished thing doe)

As far as your song goes: You need sidechain. Also you need no clipping, which the sidechain will help. As far as sidechaining goes, here is how to use the Calf Sidechain compressor, which works best for sidechain imo:

1. Make an input signal (this can be an enveloped 3xosc white noise or your kick or whatever)
2. Add a peak controller to that input and set its base at all the wayto left, and the amount at all the way to right (optionally turn the 'Mute effect' button on - this depends on your input signal)
3. Add a Calf Sidechain compressor to your desired instrument/FX channel
4. Connect the peak controller to the 'S/C amount' knob
5. Tweak the ratio all to the right and play around with the treshold
6. Find the right amount of ratio and treshold to suit your needs. I usually have my ratio all the way up.
7. Enjoy your sidechain ;)
