LMMS Saturator Plug in issue

Hi everyone,

I have an issue with my " Calf Saturator " plugin in the newest LMMS version.

I have just recently changed computers and downloaded the newest version of LMMS. To transfer all my previous music on the n3ew computer I used Google Drive to upload the songs off the old computer on to the new one.

However, when I listen to the songs on the new computer, everything works fine except for my kicks that contain "Calf-saturator". It sounds like someone's blowing on paper very hard, there's this "frlrlrlrlrl" sound at every attack.

I haven't tried download my old computer's version of LMMS and wish I won't have to do that.
Any help Please ?

Well... you may have soundcard-specific chenetticans that make a fool out of you. Those could be invoked EQ-settings, or some other c***. That is definitively something you need to check up upon, because there are a lot of strange possibilities in most modern soundcards.
But if odd default settings in your soundcards integrated UI are not the cause, then it is an issue we have talked about several times.
You unfortunately have a hardware difference-issue.
The HW in a pc influences everything that is executed on that specific pc.
If you think about this, you would also know that pro-AAA-games can be quite different on different HW, i here think about brightness, contrast and yes sound.
In a thread a year ago or so, we discussed differences in exported projects.
The question that was up was:
Does other peeps hear your project as YOU hear it when you upload? -And what influence does HW difference play in activities like mixing and indeed mastering?
😬
Its quite unsettling, because YOU do not know how your exported music will playback for other people, and it is all caused by HW differences !
I had a similar issue as yours, as i went from 32 to 64 bit. Honestly, most of my projects sounded baaaad!
I am afraid that a 'fix' for this dos not exists -afaik.
Migrating from one to an other collection of HW -or perhaps even platform! That is simply an issue for everyone..
Bottom-line a 'soundcard' is A soundcard -the output is different!

Wooww so many informations thank you so much ! I was about to download the old lmms version from my old computer but I guess it will not be necessary. I have noticed that many projects I export don't sound the same and I would reajust the sound on LMMS while listening to it on another audio output than the software. Is this issue specific to lmms ?
