I've been using lmms for a year now and this has never happened before yesterday. I opened lmms and loaded my projects just fine, then I hit space bar and nothing happened. The symbol changed to a play symbol but the cursor didn't move and no sound came out.
Wondering if I could get some help with this.

Does it say that It can’t find your vst’s? That is what happened to me yesterday too

Are you on windows, or Linux ?

* Name of your Operative System (Windows/ Linux/ Mac) And subtype (Home' 'Mint' '10.13' aso)
* lmms version

Hello! So, I've been stuck on a sound issue all day and have checked through many of these LMMS forums and Youtube tutorials for answers, yet have had no success. The sound works on my computer and on the left side and when I click on any demos or samples, I can hear the sound perfectly through my computer speakers. However, when I drag any of these sounds into the song editor and start to drop blocks, they remain gray. And those that do show color produce no sound. Can someone please help me with?!

That is because you also have to insert a note in the grey block.
Right-click the block and choose Open-in-piano-roll that will open the component you use for composing: piano-roll

But if it is a sound-file, you need to be aware that only on the base-note (A4) the sound-clip, will have the correct sound, and length.
